What Dock enhances.Monitor 2 areas.
Connect 1 or 2 of the provided spot sensors to Dock to monitor for leaks up to 1 metre away from Water Sensor 6.?Most water leak sensors let you only monitor a single area. Dock enhances Water Sensor 6 to be able to monitor 2 separate areas using spot sensors. Each sensor is a probe that can monitor surfaces, including floors, up to 1 metre away from the installation location of Dock. Only 0.1? thick, probes are perfect for remote monitoring and to monitor in exceptionally tight and hard to reach areas.
Monitor a whole area.
Connect a lasso sensor to encircle and monitor an entire area such as a hot water boiler.?While you can be sure that leaks will happen, you can?t always be sure where they will happen. That?s particularly true when it comes water tanks and boilers. While they will leak, it?s impossible to know from where they?ll leak. Dock solves that. Simply connect a lasso sensor and encircle an object completely. Wherever the leak occurs, Water Sensor 6 will then detect it.

The leak sensor with sensors.
Water Sensor 6 is a part of the AEOTEC Z-Wave intelligence range. It?s been designed to protect your home and it?s also been designed to make your smart home smarter. Three separate sensors are crafted into each Water Sensor 6.
Each of these sensors can be used to create intelligent home control scenarios via your Z-Wave gateway including the management of underfloor heating, HVAC control, and driveway heating.
Water sensor.
4 gold tipped water probes actively monitor for leaks and drips.
Vibration sensor.
Tamper and emergency events are confirmed by an algorithm that includes vibration detection.
Temperature sensor.
Crafted for heating management, an inbuilt temperature sensor can monitor temperatures between -20?C and 100?C.
Motion sensor.

From motorised curtains and windows to fans and thermostats, there are a lot of ways that you can use Z-Wave to keep the temperature of a room absolutely perfect. The?AEOTEC MultiSensor 6?provides the intelligence to do just that. Within each sensor is an incremental temperature sensor capable of accurately measuring between -10~50?C (14 to 122?F) and reporting temperature changes back to a smart home gateway.
Light sensor.
Automated lighting is only as smart as the system that powers it. With the?AEOTEC MultiSensor 6?s real-time, digital light sensor measuring the level of light in a room, your home control system will be able to intelligently maintain its ambience. From opening and closing curtains to setting lights to be the perfect level be it day or night, the AEOTEC MultiSensor 6?is the smarts behind smart lighting.
Humidity sensor.
Spaces such as bathrooms and kitchens can be too humid, while some environments are often not humid enough. The?AEOTEC MultiSensor 6 offers incremental monitoring of humidity ranging from 0% to 100%, allowing for the intelligent automation of fans, motorised windows, dehumidifiers and humidifiers. The?AEOTEC MultiSensor 6?monitors your home on such an infinitesimal level so that your home management system can make your environment truly perfect.
Vibration sensor.
It measures the environment it?s in, and it also measures itself. The AEOTEC MultiSensor 6?contains a seismic sensor capable of detecting and reporting event-based vibrations. Those slight changes can be used to protect the?AEOTEC MultiSensor 6?? it?ll know if an intruder is tampering with it or if the sensor has accidentally moved from its place of installation. They?ll also be able to detect seismic activity within your home.
UV sensor.
Perfectly managing an environment means understanding it perfectly. The?AEOTEC MultiSensor 6 accurately measures ultraviolet light; the kind of light that causes everything from furniture bleaching to eye damage. Measured in line with the World Health Organisation?s UV Index, the?AEOTEC MultiSensor 6?measures a room?s UV level so that an environment can be managed through curtains, shades and lighting, and so that health and property recommendations can be made.

The perfect sensor comes with the perfect accessories. The?AEOTEC MultiSensor 6?has four different accessories, each designed to make the installation of the sensor perfect for your home.
Recessor.?(sold separately)
Install the?AEOTEC MultiSensor 6?in a ceiling or wall cavity with a recessor (sold separately) and just 12 mm will extrude. Features magnetic clasps for simple removal of the sensor.
Mounting arm.
Discrete and for corner installations, the mounting arm allows you to rotate your?AEOTEC MultiSensor 6?up to 360? and refine its field of view by up to 50?.
USB cable.
After 2 years you won?t have to change batteries if you power your?AEOTEC MultiSensor 6?via mains power using the provided 1.5 metre USB cable.
Tape.
Weighing only 74 grams, the?AEOTEC MultiSensor 6 can be easily installed with just the provided double-sided tape from 3M.

Power optimised.
Use a USB charger and provided cable to power Dock from a power outlet. Now Water Sensor 6?s battery acts as an emergency backup.
Dock can be powered by mains electricity. Simply plug it into a power outlet using the provided USB cable and a 5VDC, 0.5A USB adaptor; a common smartphone charger. Doing so means that Water Sensor 6 no longer needs to depend on batteries; you don?t even have to use them. But if you do, Water Sensor 6?s battery will be used as a backup battery that offers the same battery life as the sensor itself: 2 years. Plenty of time to get power restored to Dock.
Wireless optimised.
Raise Water Sensor 6 using Dock and optimise the performance of its Z-Wave Plus antenna.
Water Sensor 6 uses Gen5 and Z-Wave Plus for wireless communication. It?s optimised to communicate at over 150 metres in an open space. As Z-Wave is a low-power signal, however, its wireless range can be impacted by metal objects such as washing machines and fridges.
